[ET Net News Agency, 5 March 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$135.16
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.76 billion, or 14.62% of the market's
turnover. There were 682 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.71 billion and HK$1.56 billion, or 8.67%
and 7.87% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 20.57%
and 27.37% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.48 billion and HK$1.47 billion
of short sales, accounting for 7.48% and 7.46% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 36.25% and 19.97% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$0.5, or 0.39%, to HK$128.3. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$1.62, or 1.89%, to
HK$87.2. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.115, or 2.13% to HK$5.525. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$1.3, or
2.57%, to HK$51.85.
