There were 702 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and MEITUAN-W (03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.74 billion and HK$1.59 billion, or 14.85% and 6.33% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 40% and 19.92% of respective stock's turnover.
BYD COMPANY (01211) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.39 billion and HK$1.36 billion of short sales, accounting for 5.51% and 5.38% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 22.83% and 7.56% of respective stock's turnover.
