[ET Net News Agency, 12 May 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$322.43
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$44.39 billion, or 13.77% of the market's
turnover. There were 725 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.92 billion and HK$3.27 billion, or
8.82% and 7.37% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
44.1% and 25.2% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$3.23 billion and HK$3.16 billion
of short sales, accounting for 7.28% and 7.11% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 15.36% and 11.19% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.26, or 5.12%, to HK$5.34. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$2.62, or
3.07%, to HK$88. BABA-W rose HK$7.6, or 6.15% to HK$131.2. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.68, or
2.95%, to HK$23.74.
