[ET Net News Agency, 13 February 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$156.38 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.91 billion, or 12.73% of the
market's turnover. There were 648 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.62 billion and HK$2.08
billion, or 18.17% and 10.42% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 37.04% and 20.58% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.77 billion and HK$1.33 billion
of short sales, accounting for 8.89% and 6.69% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 12.94% and 41.49% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$1.14, or 1.38%, to HK$83.62. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.36, or
1.63%, to HK$22.42. BABA-W rose HK$4.4, or 3.87% to HK$118.2. CSOP HS TECH jumped HK$0.08,
or 1.55%, to HK$5.25.
