[ET Net News Agency, 21 January 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$87.11 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.36 billion, or 17.63% of the
market's turnover. There were 634 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.94 billion and HK$1.75
billion, or 12.66% and 11.41% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 41.32% and 48.22% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.53 billion and HK$822.03
million of short sales, accounting for 9.95% and 5.35% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 28.02% and 24.06% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.124, or 2.76%, to HK$4.618. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$1, or
1.35%, to HK$75.08. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.26, or 1.29% to HK$20.38. MEITUAN-W jumped
HK$4.5, or 2.89%, to HK$160.
